Venetian plaster is a decorative finish made from slaked lime and marble dust. It is applied with a steel trowel in several very thin layers, then compressed and burnished, which gives it a depth and movement that paint cannot copy. Because it is lime based it is breathable, hard wearing and naturally resistant to mould.

We start with a flat, sound background. New plasterboard or a fresh skim is primed and left to dry before the base coats go on. The final coats are polished by hand until the surface takes on the sheen you have chosen, from a soft satin to a high gloss. Metallic and gold veining is laid in by hand between coats, so no two walls are ever the same.

It suits feature walls, living room media walls, alcoves and shelving, hallways, bathrooms sealed with a protective wax, and commercial spaces such as receptions, restaurants and salons. We also apply polished concrete effect plaster and microcement for a seamless, modern look.
