Plastering services
Plastering
Loader Luxe Plastering replasters walls and ceilings across south, east and west London and Kent. We take failed plaster back to a sound background, board or prepare the surface and finish it flat and smooth, ready to decorate, whether it is one room or a whole house.
Plastering by Loader Luxe Plastering
Old plaster that is blown, cracked or coming away from the wall has to come back to a sound background. We remove what has failed, treat and prepare the brick or block, then apply the backing coats followed by a finishing coat that is trowelled flat and polished smooth.
On new builds, extensions and renovations we fix plasterboard to studwork and ceilings, tape the joints and apply a full set. Where a wall is beyond saving, overboarding can be quicker and cleaner than a full hack off, and we will tell you honestly which is the better option.
Period homes get the right materials. Lime plaster lets solid walls breathe, so we use it where gypsum would trap moisture, and we repair curved walls, arches and domed ceilings with the same care as a straight run.

Questions
Plastering questions
Straight answers from a master plasterer. Anything else, call 07515 569399.
Do I need a full replaster or just a skim?
If the existing plaster is sound and well bonded, a skim is usually enough. If it is hollow, crumbling or badly cracked, it needs taking back and replastering. We check on the quote and tell you which you need.
Can you plaster straight after the electrician and plumber?
Yes, that is the usual order. First fix electrics and plumbing go in, we plaster, and second fix follows once the walls are dry.
Do you plaster ceilings?
Yes. We replaster and overboard ceilings, including curved and vaulted ceilings. Older textured ceilings can contain asbestos, so we overboard them rather than scrape them.
Do you work on commercial properties?
Yes. We plaster offices, shops, restaurants and other commercial spaces as well as homes.
